So, it’s Summer. I had a really strong urge to make some homemade lemonade (maybe it’s all the Hart of Dixie I’ve been watching) so I went and bought some lemons, got out my super nice – under used/under appreciated juicer and started to look up recipes. I’ve had some pretty not-so great lemonade experiences before and to be honest it was when I just tried to wing it! Haha, so I’m not here to tell you my creative take on lemonade, but to share with you the one that I found that is SO good! It’s from All Recipes and is called (hence the title of this post) Best Lemonade Ever. Without further ado here is what you need:
1 3/4 cup sugar
8 cups water
1 1/2 cups lemon juice
That’s it! If you don’t have a juicer I highly recommend it and if you’re looking for a really great one, I suggest getting Jack LaLanne’s Power Juicer Express! It’s seriously amazing. You just toss the lemon in, peel and all (or whatever fruit) in and it uses every little bit that it can and spits the leftover pulp in a container attached to the back. I did cut my lemons in half before tossing them in just to speed up the process though. I hope you try the recipe this summer, it’s a keeper for sure! I’m planning to make apple juice and grape juice seeing how we have both growing on our property, stay tuned to see how those turn out when they’re ready to harvest!
